A Message to Ft. Thomas
A message to the Fort Thomas and Gila Valley Community. .
First and foremost, all of us at Reality Ranch would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and support that we have been treated with since the very first day we moved our camp to Ft. Thomas. Now, even when things get challenging, the entire community has banded together and stood behind us, helping to keep us strong, and our spirits high. Thank you for driving by and waving, or for smiling and giving us a thumbs up. We have felt so welcome here since we moved in, now, we feel like we belong.
For those of you reading this who are not in Fort Thomas or the surrounding area, let me tell you a little bit about this place. If you have ever gone on a family vacation, or visited a town where everyone smiles and says “Hello” when they see you, and treat you with so much kindness that you never want to leave, you know what it feels like to live here. When Cm. Denton and I first looked at this beautiful piece of property in this little tiny town, we thought it couldn’t get any better. There was plenty of green grass, trees, flowers, butterflies and breathtaking scenery. It was a perfect place to expand our summer camp to. Then, we started getting to know the locals, which was when we knew it couldn’t get any better. Everyone we met would truly bend over backwards to help us with anything we needed, from rental equipment to great advice and helping hands. I wondered when we would meet the “real” locals, who I expected to be less friendly. You know what? I haven’t found them yet. I have also noticed that it’s not just us, either. Everyone here treats everyone with respect and kindness, it’s the type of place that you want to raise children in. Cars don’t cut each other off, no one seems to be in too much of a hurry, and everyone has a moment to stop and have a chat. I am convinced that this community is truly one of Arizona’s best kept secrets, and some of the world’s best neighbors.
We hope that we are able to make valuable contributions to our new community and to help where we are needed. To those who we have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, please stop by and say hello soon.
Thank you for allowing us to join your community and for making us feel welcome. We love it here!
